Nowhere to look!

I’m trying to do some quick 20 minute speed paintings of environments (referenced from google search). So far, pretty lousy attempts! I tend to deviate towards detail. Hopefully by continuing these exercises I’ll work more with broader brush strokes. I also want to get more comfortable with colour.

It’s fun getting to experiment with brushes. Playing with a brushes settings so that you can say more with one stroke. Also mimicking environments, is it important to create a focal point even if one is not apparent? These two images are very bland. There is nowhere for the eye to settle on.
